Good habits are really hard to form but they make life so much easier and prosperous after some time. After forming a few new good habits, I have become more positive towards life and feel more energetic and productive every day. Habits seem meaningless with no goal in sight and I believe that I am the result of my habits.

After witnessing a significant change in my life, I’m here to share my experience with you.

The 4 habits that changed my life are:

  1. Workout

I can’t even explain how painful it was in the beginning. But now, I just can’t go without it. My day feels incomplete without working out.

I follow Chloe Ting’s workout routines. I have tried many before that but Chloe’s routines just worked out for me and I personally love them a lot.

I used to do a 30 minutes workout session in the morning but due to increased workload I stopped doing it for approx 1.5 months but now I’m back to my routine and now I do it in the evening.

I found out that doing a workout in the evening is more beneficial for me. The reasons are that I don’t feel rushed in the morning and also I used to not have snacks in the evening but now after the workout I feel hungry so now my diet is also sorted.

This habit not only keeps my body healthy but has a really good impact on my mental health as well. Now, I feel more happy and enthusiastic every day.

2. Reading

Books have become my new best friends. I feel so much peace while reading. My favorite type of book is self-help books. The best thing that I love about books is that they give me a new perspective and clarity towards life.

Earlier, I used to not like self-help books but as I grew up, these books started making so much sense to me that now whenever I feel myself in a confused or lost flight of the mind, I know where exactly I have to land.

Reading also helps in reducing my stress level and puts me in a better mood. This also helps me in increasing my concentration and adds a lot of value to my life.

I am open to book recommendations, please drop your suggestions. I would love to check them out.

3. Taking Care of My Health

I’d been ignorant towards my health for a long time. But later on, I realized that it is the most important part of my life that needs the utmost care.

So to take care of my health, I increased my water intake to help my skin look better. I reduced my sugar intake up to 80–90% to not feel bloated. I started avoiding junk food and shifted my focus to mindful and healthy eating. All of these tiny habits have made my health a lot better.

The tough part is that I have to control my cravings a lot and sometimes I just don’t care about anything and just eat whatever I want. There is still a lot that I need to learn about food and practice healthy eating habits.

4. Staying Organized

This is one habit that keeps me sorted now otherwise I used to be a mess. There are a lot of things happening altogether and I just can’t miss out on any of them.

I have made a habit of cleaning the desk before sitting in the morning and it just keeps my head clear so that I can think better. I make the best use of Google Calendar by scheduling all my classes, meetings, and important events. I plan my day and weeks on the notion as well as paper and this keeps me productive and aligned throughout the day.

This year I also started documenting my life but it is still not in the way I wanted it to be so I’m working on it. I declutter my mail inbox every day but decluttering my phone and laptop regularly is something that I need to work upon.

Keeping things organized doesn’t let me face the consequences of missing out on anything.

All of the above-mentioned habits have changed my life significantly. Some habits didn’t work out for me but I try to keep forming new habits. One more habit that I recently formed is spending some time alone just after waking up and listening to music and dance. This habit keeps my mood uplifted throughout the day. Now, I prefer setting habits instead of setting goals. And I’m back to blogging just because of these good habits!

I hope this blog inspires you to start forming some life-changing good habits!
